A Dangerous Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer is an often prayed prayer. Many religious communities pray it weekly.
Why do I say it is dangerous?
Because right in the middle of it we say, “and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.” Matthew 6:12 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.6.12.NLT
Is that really what we want? Do we really want our Heavenly Father to treat us in the same way we treat others? If we are having relationship problems and not forgiving others then we are asking God not to forgive us.
That is scary because I need a whole lot of Grace.
Lord help me to forgive others with a lot of Grace. Grace is what I need from you. Grace is what I should give to others.
