FEAR
Both in the New Testament and the Old Testament, God/Jesus admonishes his people, Don’t be afraid, be brave and courageous or something similar.
From those, I assume that He is often calling his people into places/positions that are challenging and uncomfortable.
Accompanying these challenges, there was often the promise, “I will be with you.”
I am afraid that we do not experience His power and presence because we wait and look for it in a comfortable, safe spot.
The Kingdom is always advancing. Where it is advancing, there is conflict between light and dark, truth and lies, evil and goodness, God and Satan. At times, it appears that we Christians are on the losing side. That only happens when fear is in control. When we are stopped by our fear.
Then God simply finds a group who will hear his command, “Fear Not, Be strong and Courageous.
I AM with you.”
I believe that is going on now, in our world. In our country, sometimes in our churches.
He is speaking.
Who is hearing?
